Mitch Waters

Freshmen backup runner Mitch Waters has been named the HORIZON player of the week for his efforts in the second half against Friendship Christian.

Waters ripped off the biggest play for Clay County on the night on his second carry, speeding 29 yards around left sideline. He wound up with three carries for 38 yards.

Fellow freshman runner Corey Hamilton wound up with five carries for 19 yards, and had a nice 11-yard pickup in the third quarter.
