CELINA-Funeral Services for Geneva Adams of Livingston were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Upton-Hay Funeral Home with David Threet officiating and interment in the Ray Williams Cemetery. Nathaniel Tinsley, Dustin Spears, Steven Spears, Landon Olson, Jacky Watkins, Shane Ledbetter, Kevin Watkins and Tony Scott served as pallbearers.
Geneva Adams, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
Geneva was born in Celina on Thursday, April 16, 2017.  Throughout her life she was first a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Geneva was preceded in death by her parents Bedford Lee and Lela Effie (Thompson) Poindexter; sisters Christene Hancock, Claudine Netherton; brothers Wendell Poindexter, D.R. Poindexter; children Harold Tinsley, James Tinsley, Roger Tinsley, Janice Scott; grandson Kevin Payne.
Geneva was of the Church of Christ faith.
Geneva is survived by her husband Jimmy Adams of Livingston; sons Jerry Tinsley of Rickman, Larry Tinsley of Nashville, Gary Tinsley, James Davis both of Celina; daughters Gail (Lowell) Grissom of Cookeville, Barbara (Mitchell) Vaughn of Poneto, IN, Kathy Davis of Lebanon, Sue Hughes of Blairsville, GA; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and
8 great-great grandchildren also survive.
