GEOMETRY BRIDGE PROJECT
Bonnie Craighead (Soph.) shows her winning bridge of popsicle sticks constructed as an entry into Mrs. Teia Arms annual geometry class bridge building competition. The bridge is made from 286 popsicle sticks and held up unbroken under a load of 1110+ pounds which calculates to just over 3.8 lbs. per stick. The second place bridge entered by Andrew Weber (sr.), Jacqueline West (Soph.), and Daryean Daughtery (Soph.), not pictured, consisted of 200 sticks and held 480 pounds. (Photo submitted.)
