Horizon Sports Network to broadcast Dawgs’ title game Friday
CHATANOOGA-For the first time in the history of the Horizon Sports Network (HSN), the live-stream broadcasting affiliate of the Dale Hollow Horizon newspaper will be live on air here at the TSSAA BlueCross Bowl Football State Championships Friday beginning at 1 p.m. CST, one hour prior to kickoff of the Class A state title game between Clay County and McKenzie.
“We are thrilled to be able to provide our coverage to Clay County fans,” Daniel Strong, HSN’s voice of the Bulldogs said. “I had already accepted that we wouldn’t be able to broadcast due to our prior experiences with TSSAA media restrictions.
“I am thankful to the TSSAA for granting us permission, and to our sponsors and listeners for making this all possible.”
Audio-only coverage—which can be found online at dalehollowhorizon.com or on the Dale Hollow Horizon Facebook page—begins with a detailed pregame show, continues with play by play and analysis throughout the game, and wraps up with a postgame show featuring full stats and more.
Though video will not accompany the audio as normal on HSN’s Facebook live feed, a full television broadcast by the NFHS Network is available in the Nashville area from WUXP-TV MyNet30 on channel 30 over the air, on Direct TV, AT&T U Verse, and Twin Lakes TV. The game can also be streamed live at nfhsnetwork.com.
“As in the past and as many did last week, we encourage those not making the trip to Finley Stadium to witness the Dawgs play for the State Championship to tune into both the television and live-stream audio broadcast if possible,” HSN analyst Thomas Weaver said. “Our numbers broke records last week and we can’t thank Bulldog Nation enough for their support, along with that of our generous sponsors who have been with us from the very beginning.
“It is a special time to be a Bulldog and we can’t wait to be a small part of it Friday!”
