CELINA-Funeral Services for James Edgar Sherrell of Nashville, formally of Clay Co., were held on Thursday, September 05, 2013 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Emerton cemetery.  Rev. Edgar Masencup officiated the service. Serving as pallbearers were James Westmoreland, John Terry, Keith Riggle, Brandon Riggle, Bradlee Brown, and Castin Lanham.

Mr. James Edgar Sherrell, age 81, passed away at the Alive Hospice of Skyline in Madison on Monday, September 02, 2013.

Mr. Sherrell was born on January 20, 1932 to his late parents Edgar and Willie D. (Emerton) Sherrell in the Baptist Ridge Community. He was a tractor trailer mechanic.

He is survived by wife Loanna (Brown) Sherrell; daughters and sons-in-law Jeraldine & Joe Ellis, Jeanette & Keith Riggle, and Cathy & David Masencup; grandchildren Jeannie Williams, Glenda Terry, Lindsey Brown, Brandon Riggle, Shelby Masencup, Emily Masencup, and Tiffani Masencup; a host of great grandchildren; sister Rose Hilton.
