Jerry Skipworth, 57

CELINA-Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Skipworth, 57, of Celina were held Friday, January 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home. Burial followed in the New Hope Cemetery with Jason Dodson Officiating.

He passed away at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville on Tuesday, January 11, 2011.

Mr. Skipworth was born on July 27, 1953 to the late William Gobel and Ethel Francis (Harris) Skipworth in Celina, TN.

He was affiliated with the Church of Christ.

He is survived by daughters Carrie (Roger) Calvert of Gainesboro, Amy Skipworth (Brad Bailey) of Celina; son Tyler Skipworth of Celina; grandchildren Justin Calvert, Hayleigh J. Bailey; sisters Bonnie Eads, Kaye Velie both of Celina; brother Howard (Carolyn) Skipworth of Celina; faithful friend Ina Skipworth; friend of the family Corinda Skipworth; special friend Louellen Weaver & family; sister-in-law Nonie Huddleston; and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents William Gobel & Ethel Francis (Harris) Skipworth; sisters Pauline Harmon, Janie Harden, Phyllis Corban, Shirley Groce; brother Walter Buddy Huddleston; and several nieces and nephews.

Hall Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
