Julia Faye Hicks, 68

RED BOILING SPRINGS– Funeral Services for Julia Faye Hicks, 68 of Mt. Vernon Community were held Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Upton Funeral Home with Barry Bawner officiating. Burial was in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Faye Hicks passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the Cumberland River Hospital in Celina.

Julia Faye Hicks was born August 30, 1942 in Union Hill Community to the late Pete and Nicellen (Price) Dodson. Faye was a homemaker and member of the Union Hill Church of Christ. Faye married Ray Dillon Hicks he preceded her in death on May 15, 2009.

She is survived by sons, Jeff Likens and Ellis Hicks of Union Hill Community; Cheryl Dyer and Husband, David of Mt. Vernon Community and Monica Asberry of Mt. Vernon Community; brother, Jack Dodson of Hermitage Springs; sister, Ann Phillips of Red Boiling Springs; 2 grandchildren, Tara Asberry and Jessica Dyer; 1 great grandchild, Caden Dyer.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by bothers, Jay, Willard and Wiford Dodson and sister, Jewell Wilkerson

Serving as pallbearers were Ricky Bean, Randy Bean, Jason Rhoton, Marty Dodson, Gary Dodson and Randy Hall

Upton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
