Lady Bulldog Amelia Kirk and Bulldog Shawn Garrett have been named the HORIZON players of the week for their efforts in the three games played by the teams last week.

Kirk scored 38 points in three games, all Lady Bulldog wins, including 15 against Macon County, all coming in the second half. She scored 10 points against Monterey and tied the Monterey team total in rebounds with 11.

Garrett scored 47 points in three Dawg wins, including a season-high 27 against Van Buren County.

HONORABLE MENTION: Tristan Watson scored 16 against Macon County, all of them coming in the first half, when the Lady Bulldogs jumped out to a big lead. She had 16 of the team’s first 24 points. 

Tyler Edwards hit double figures in scoring in all three games, scoring 16 twice and adding 11 in the other game. Trent Boles came off the bench to score 20 points in two games, including 12 against Macon County. He also nailed a big three-pointer in that game just before the first half buzzer.
