The Clay County Public Library will change its hours slightly this week for the holiday. We will be here on Friday, July 3, from 8:30 until 12:30, then close until Monday, July 6. We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday.
The Science Guy will be here this Thursday, June 25, at 10:00.
The Upper Cumberland Regional Library will be here on July 2 at 9:30 for our annual puppet show. Bring your young reader in to enjoy a morning of puppets, books, songs, and fun.
Our story hour continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 until July 30, when we will have our end of the summer reading party.
New books in the library this week include “Summerhill Secrets” by Beverly Lewis, “Lying With Strangers” by James Grippando, “Shadow Man” by Cody Mcfadyen, “Lost” by Michael Robotham, “Fugitive” by Phillip Margolin, “Relentless” by Dean Koontz, and “Star Wars: Omen” by Christie Golden. For our nonfiction readers, we have “Ava Gardner: Love is Nothing” by Lee Server, “Nursing School Entrance Exams”, “Sheds and Gardens” by Rick Peters, and “The Joy of Keeping Chickens” by Jennifer Megyesi. For our young readers we have “Grandfather Buffalo” by Jim Amosky, and our teen readers now have “Necropolis” by Anthony Horowitz. New on DVD at the library are “Natural Pregnancy”, “Inkheart”, “Apocalypto”, “Life”, “War”, “Pride and Glory”, and “Taking Chance”. Come in and check us out!
