The Clay County Public Library Board will meet this Wednesday, March 25, at 1:00. The meeting will be held at the library, and is open to the public. The library will be unable to check any books in or out during the meeting.
Teen night will be this Friday, March 27, beginning at 6:00. We will have tacos, and then watch “Twilight”. All teens are invited to join us for the evening.
The Clay County Public Library will be holding a another beginners computer class on Friday, April 3, beginning at 9:00. This class is free, and will cover the basics of computer use.
There are many new books in the library this week. New adult fiction titles include “Handle With Care” by Jodi Picoult, “The Leisure Seeker” by Michael Zadoorian, “Revenge of the Spellmans” by Lisa Lutz, “Heart and Soul” by Maeve Binchy, “Dark of Night” by Suzanne Brockmann, “Paths of Glory” by Jeffery Archer, “Blonde Roots” by Bernardine Evaristo, “A Face at the Window” by Sarah Graves, “Fool” by Christopher Moore, ” Spade and Archer” by Joe Gores, “What I Did for Love” by Susan Elizabeth Phillips, “Luke’s Story” by Tim LaHaye, “The Empty Mirror” by J. Matthews, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw” by Jeff Kinney, “Eternal” by Cynthia Leitich Smith, “Bones of Faerie” by Janni Lee Simner, “The Devil’s Paintbox” by Victoria McKernan, and “Haunted: A House of Night Novel” by P.C. Cast. For our early readers we now have “Katy Duck is a Caterpillar” by Alyssa Satin Capucilli, “Fabulous Fishes” by Susan Stockdale, “What a Good Big Brother” by Diane Wright, and “Black Diamond and Blake” by Deborah Blumenthall.
New books on CD this week include “Another Life” by Andrew Vachss, “The Runner” by Thomas Perry, and “The Last Stand of Fox Company” by Bob Drury.
