The Clay County Public Library will host Teen Night on Friday, April 24, beginning at 6:00. This month, the teens themselves will provide a pot luck dinner. All teens are invited to come and bring something to eat to share with the others.
There have been several recent memorial donations made to the library. A memorial donation is a lasting way to remember a loved one, and can be made in any amount. Recent memorial include: In memory of Robert Ashlock, given by Shelia Coffelt.
In memory of Sylvia Elise Boles, given by Dick and Ann Roberts and family.
In memory of Pearl Smith, given by Dick and Ann Roberts and family.
In memory of Kevin Roberts, given by Geraldine Clark, Dick and Ann Roberts and family, and Ron and Peggy Roberts.

The library has many new books in this week, including a large collection of large print books. New titles include “The Wedding in White” by Diana Palmer, “White Lion’s Lady” by Tina St. John, “Sex, Lies, and Online Dating” by Rachel Gibson, “Angels All Over Town” by Luanne Rice, “The Last to Die” by Beverly Barton, “Hot Fudge Sundae Blues” by Bev Marshall, “Murphy’s Law” by Lori Foster, “Long Son” and “The Tumbler” by Peter Bowen, and “Wounded Moon” by Gary Cook. Other new fiction titles include”The English Assassin” by Daniel Silva, “Dinner with a Perfect Stranger” and “A Day With a Perfect Stranger” by David Gregory, “City of Glass” by Cassandra Clare, “First Family” by David Baldacci, “Deadlock” by Iris Johansen, “Made in the U.S.A.” by Billie Letts, and “Tampa Burn” by Randy Wayne White. For our nonfiction readers, we have “Love Notes for Dad”, “The Rules of Golf in Plain English” by Jeffrey S. Kuhn, “Clinging to the Wreckage” by John Mortimer, “The Life God Blesses” by Jim Cymbala, and “Madoff” by Peter Sander. For our teen readers we have”Need” by Carrie Jones, “The Vampire Geneviene” by Jack Yeovil, and “The Forest of Hands and Teeth” by Carrie Ryan, as well as three new “Bone” graphic novels, including “Bone: Treasure Hunters”, “Bone” Ghost Circles”, and “Bone: Crown of Horns” by Jeff Smith.
New to the library on DVD this week are “Only Angels Have Wings”, “Journey to the Center of the Earth”, “Space Chimps”, “Fine Things”, “Backdraft”, “The Partridge Family”, “NCIS: Season 5”, and “Marley and Me”. Come in and check us out!
