MVP Tyla Adams highlights local Jr. High basketball award winners

Players from Celina and Hermitage Springs honored
CELINA-Players from both the Celina and Hermitage Springs Jr. High basketball teams were among many recognized when the Cumberland Rim All-Conference awards were handed out this year.
Highlighting the local honorees was Jr. Lady Dawg Tyla Adams, who was named the Cumberland Rim Conference Girls MVP.
She was joined on the first team by teammates Emerson Sharp and Ava Ledbetter, while other Celina girls players recognized included second team member Annie Vaughn and honorable mentions Isabella Smith and Ella Donaldson.
Hermitage Springs girls awardees included second team member Lillie White and honorable mentions Kalista Smith and Tatum Webb, while the Hermitage Springs boys had Emry Soto, Chandler Crowe, and Lance Pigg all recognized as honorable mentions.
For the Celina Jr. Dawgs, Easton Garner and Parker Upchurch were named first team members, and Kamron King, Brogan Maxfield, Avery Smith, and Nehemiah Hamilton received honorable mentions.
Both teams competed in the Cumberland Rim Conference Tournament held over the weekend at Clay County High School.
