The library will be accepting bids on one of our computer systems. This system was recently replaced but is in good working order. It is a HP Prodesk 600 with 500 GB hard drive, Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2010, and 8 GB RAM. Monitor, mouse and keyboard also included. Bids on this system will be accepted until March 8 at 4:30, with the winner being contacted on Saturday, March 9. All funds raised for this auction will be placed in our building fund.
“Teen Thoughts” is now available for sale at the library. This book was written and illustrated by our Clay County Tennessee Teens. Available now for only $10, it is full of poems, essays, drawings, and stories contributed by our talented teens. Come by and pick up your copy today!
The library is planning a birthday party for Dr. Seuss on Saturday, March 2. There will be stories, games, and refreshments throughout the day, as well as giveaways to our younger readers. A fun fact about Dr. Seuss: He wrote under the names Dr. Seuss, Theodore Geisel and Theo LeSieg, which is Geisel spelled backwards! Stop in any time from 9:00 until 1:00 and help celebrate this wonderful children’s author!

Quote of the week: “I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, It’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, And that enables you to laugh at life’s realities.” Dr. Seuss (Theodore Geisel).
