CELINA-In a short March meeting held here last week, City of Celina alderman approved the purchase of a vehicle, authorized inspections of water tanks, and passed a budget amendment for the water department.
City mayor Luke Collins and alderman Justin Rich both commented on the vehicle purchase prior to its approval.
“This is to purchase a utility bed truck from Mike’s Auto Sales for $16,500,” Collins said, before Rich offered his thoughts.
“I have looked at it several times,” he said, before making a motion to approve the purchase.
Alderman Kenny Westmoreland then seconded the motion and it passed 2-0.
City legislators also approved the low bid of $8,225 for the inspection of all the Celina Water System’s tanks and clearwell storage tanks.
These tank inspections are mandatory after every five years of operation.
Rich made a motion to approve the low bid, Westmoreland seconded it, and it passed 2-0.
Rich also made a motion to approve a budget amendment for the water department in the amount of $225,000.
Westmoreland seconded the motion, and it passed 2-0.
