Mike Wood seeks election as a director at Twin Lakes
John Michael (Mike) Wood announced last week he would be a candidate for the Twin Lakes Board of Directors (Area Number 5), representing Fentress County.
Wood was born and raised in Fentress County, and currently resides in the Taylor Place area of Jamestown. He and wife Tonya have five children–Abby, Amy, Andy, Audrey, and Avery.
He attended York Elementary and graduated from York Agricultural Institute in 1993. Wood graduated from Tennessee Technological University in 1997 with a degree in English/Journalism and a double minor in Public Relations and History.
“I have worked in the technology field for the last 15 years and I am well aware of the connectivity needs of both the average residential user and the small business owner,” Wood said in his announcement. ” As we all know, communications needs have grown rapidly in this decade, and in the future this need will continue to grow. To support this growth, reliable access will be a key factor for success.
“A strong communications infrastructure will also help attract and retain new businesses in our area. I hope to be a part of helping provide this area with the means to move forward and support growth by serving as your Twin Lakes board member,” Wood said.
Early voting will take place Saturday, September 26th from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Twin Lakes Telephone Office in Jamestown. Regular voting will take place Saturday, October 3rd during the annual meeting of the members from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
“Your vote and support would be appreciated and I look forward to serving all Twin Lakes members and employees,” Wood said.
