Moss Fire Department asking for continued membership support
By DALE REAGAN
Moss Fire Dept. Chief
It’s that time of the year again. The Moss Volunteer Fire Department is doing the annual donation membership support drive again this year.
We are asking everyone to please mail their support pledge in to the department. We do it this way because we are not able to see everyone in our area.
We would like to take this opportunity to explain what the membership support is all about.
By being a support member if at any time you, the member, call upon the department for services, there will be no charge for said services. If you are not a support member and you request the fire department’s services, the department will respond to your fire-related request, but there will be a charge of $150.00 per fire truck that responds.
Also, by being a support member, you’re not only helping keep the fire department strong and active, you are also playing a very important part in keeping fire protection for your community strong as well. When you become a support member, your name will be added to a list of files that the department keeps record of each year.
The community we live in has been very supportive of the fire department in the past, and the people have made the department what it is today. We can only hope that we will never need a fire department but sooner or later someone will. It could be you or your neighbor. With your help and support the department will be able to be ready when it is called upon.
So please continue to support your fire department. Please send your support pledge of $25.00 to the following address:
