CELINA-Visitors that appreciate history and quilts visited the Clay County Museum for a quilt show held in conjunction with the Inaugural Chocolate Gravy Festival Saturday.
Over 70 quilts were on display at the local museum and offered visitors a wide variety of quilts to view.
The oldest quilt on display was an early 1900’s quilt that was hand stitched out of wool, while the most modern quilt at the show was made this past Christmas.
This display offered visitors a unique look at over 100 years of various techniques and patterns.
Most of the quilts were made by people from Clay County and were various types, including yoyo quilts, double wedding ring quilts, butterfly quilts, and many other varieties.
Organizers from the museum plan on holding another quilt show in the future.
