Music Pathway unveiled
A PLACE IN HISTORY
The marker displays a written history about the song, Walker, and his store, along with photos.
The Kentucky Headhunters and their song “Dumas Walker,” which was inspired by Clay County native Dumas Walker, were honored by the State of Tennessee with a new “Tennessee Music Pathways” marker placed here on the Historic Clay County Courthouse square last week. A large crowd gathered to greet the band and witness the unveiling, including many members of the late Walker’s family, along with local and state officials.
It can be viewed on the northwest corner of the square.
