Clarice Hinds Ford, 76
TOMPKINSVILLE-Funeral services for Clarice Hinds Ford of Hestand (KY) were held here Monday, May 4, 2009.
Mrs. Ford passed away Friday, May 1, 2009 at the Monroe County Medical Center.
She was born April 7, 1933 in Monroe County to the late Tinker David Hinds and Addie Sewell Hinds. She was the widow of the late Rex Ford. They were married October 18, 1952. She was of the Baptist belief and was retired from Belden Wire and Cable as a machine operator. She had also worked in the meat department at Piggly Wiggly.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother Les Frank Hinds; and seven sisters–Mildred Hinds, Carrie Belue, Hazel Baskett, Ellen McGlothlin, Ester Taylor, Hester Easterling, and Iva Clemons.
She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law Keith and Patty Ford of Paragon (IN) and Stephen Ford of Hestand; daughter and son-in-law Cathy and Kenneth Walker of Celina; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted from the chapel of Strode Funeral Home with Darrick Proffitt officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Poland Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Steve Allen Ford, Jesse Ford, Steve Lee Ford, John David Veach, Lewis Baxter and Gene Reyling. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Smith and Jeff Upton.
Strode Funeral Home of Tompkinsville was in charge of arrangements.
