CELINA-Funeral services for Edna Lucille Reecer of Celina were held here Sunday, May 10, 2009.

Mrs. Reecer passed away Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the Cumberland River Hospital.

She was born March 18, 1920 in Moss to the late Walten Nard and Harriet Mattie (Osgathorpe) Jones. She was a homemaker and was affiliated with the Beech Bethany Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Amos J. Reecer; brothers Rex, Dillard, Thomas, and Frank Jones; and sister Blanche Eads.

She is survived by brother Joe Ray Jones of Celina; nieces Geraldine Britton, Shirley Melton, Betty Jo White, Marsha Logan, Brenda Boles, Dolores Rich, Danette Bonner, and Sherry Burton; nephews James Eads, Jack Jones, and Phillip Jones; caregivers Bonnie Smith,  Christine Crabtree, Betty Ashlock, and Jodie Spivey.

Services were conducted from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home with Kenny Westmoreland officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Tom White, David White, Jimmy Melton, Joey Rich, Wayne Rich, and Jeremy Jones. Honorary pallbearers were James Eads, Jack Jones, Phillip Jones and Jo Helen Eads.

Upton Funeral Home of Celina was in charge of the arrangements.
