Randolph Pruitt, 80
CELINA-Funeral services for Randolph Pruitt of Lafayette were held here Monday, June 15, 2009.
Mr. Pruitt passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at The Palace in Red Boiling Springs.
He was born June 11, 1929 in Clay County to the late John Albert and Verdia Ann (Key) Pruitt. He was a construction worker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Polly Key and three babies–Shirley, Willie, and Jimmy Pruitt.
He is survived by wife Mattie (Smith) Pruitt of Lafayette; daughters Betty Pruitt of Lafayette and Janith Reecer of Baxter; son Doyle Pruitt of Lafayette; sisters Mellia Davis of Indiana and Florence Greer of Hurricane Mills (TN); and brother Willie W. Pruitt of North Carolina.
Services were conducted from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home with Fred Smith officiating. Burial was in the Key-Killmon Cemetery.
Hall Funeral Home of Celina was in charge of arrangements.
Janis S. Hamblin Nevins, 60
WILLIAMSBURG (KY)-Graveside services for Janis S. Hamblin Nevins of Indianapolis were held here Thursday, June 18, 2009.
Mrs. Nevins passed away June 10, 2009 in Gadsden (AL).
She was born January 10, 1949 in Pineville (KY) to the late Homer and Clara Hamblin. She was a homemaker and a member of the West Newton Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter-in-law Lisa Ann Nevins.
She is survived by her husband Duel Len Nevins of Celina; sons Tim L. and Steven J. (Anita) Nevins; and grandchildren H. James Nevins, Ethan W. and Brendon Greene.
Services were conducted at the Hamblin Cemetery.
Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Decatur of Williamsburg (KY) was in charge of arrangements.
