Jamey Holland, 34
RED BOILING SPRINGS-Funeral services for Jamey Holland of Red Boiling Springs were held here Thursday, September 10, 2009.
Mr. Holland passed away Monday, September 7, 2009 at the Hendersonville Medical Center in Hendersonville (TN).
He was born Thursday, December 26, 1974 in Smith County to Donna Cherry Craighead of the Union Hill Community and Wayne and Lisa Holland of Red Boiling Springs. He was a carpet layer for 15 years.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Estelene Cherry and paternal grandfather James Holland.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by daughters Brianna Holland of Franklin (KY) and McKenzie Holland of Hermitage Springs; sisters and brothers-in-law Tiona and Johnny Young of the Leonard Community and Leslie and Jed Goad of Red Boiling Springs; brothers and sisters-in-law Brad and Becky Craighead and A.J. and Amy Craighead all of Gamaliel; maternal grandfather Elvin Cherry of the Union Hill Community; and paternal grandmother Faye Holland of Red Boiling Springs.
Services were conducted from the chapel of Anderson and Son Funeral Home with Dean Dyer officiating. Burial was in the Union Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Brad Craighead, A.J. Craighead, Michael Holland, Steve White, Johnny Young, Terry Cross, Chris Brady, and Robbie Lloyd.
Anderson and Son Funeral Home of Red Boiling Springs was in charge of arrangements.
Fred B. Rich, 86
TOMPKINSVILLE-Funeral services for Fred B. Rich of Tompkinsville were held here Sunday, September 6, 2009.
Mr. Rich passed away Thursday, September 3, 2009 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville.
He was born October 16, 1922 in Moss to the late Hulet Rich and Ova Grace Rich. He was of the Baptist faith and a retired farmer and logger. He raised as his own children, nephew Roger Rich and niece Betty McIntyre, and helped raise Roger’s daughters Pamela Hammer and Sherri Tyree as his own.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers–Elzie Rich, Jasper Rich, Murphy Rich, Frank Rich, and Walter Rich; and four sisters–Evie Curtis, Lydia Durham, Julie Rich, and Lillie Copass.
He is survived by three brothers–Jimmy Rich of Tompkinsville, Porter Rich of Red Boiling Springs, and Willie B. Rich of Antone (AR); and several nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted from the chapel of Strode Funeral Home with Doug Copas officiating. Burial was in the Moore Cemetery in Moss. Serving as pallbearers were Ollie McIntyre, Bill Rich, Harold Carter, Robert Carter, David Turner, and Johnny Lynn. His nephews served as honorary pallbearers.
