Harold Wayne York, 53
RED BOILING SPRINGS-Funeral services for Harold Wayne York of Red Boiling Springs were conducted here Saturday, November 7, 2009.
Mr. York passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville (KY) after an extended illness.
He was born January 14, 1956 in Macon County, the son of Cordell Rice of Red Boiling Springs and the late Love Joy York Rice. On November 6, 1972, he married Sarah Colter, who survives.
In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Paulette Rice and son-in-law, Michael Russell. He was a logger.
In addition to his wife of 36 years and his father, he is survived by daughters Lisa Carter and husband Murl of Lafayette, Carol Russell and companion Eliseo; sons Jackie York and wife Loretta, Harold York and companion Kim–all of Red Boiling Springs; sisters and brothers-in-law Carolyn and Tim White of Moss, Janet and Stan Johnson of Lafayette, Debby and Freddie Key, Rebecca and Tony King; brothers and sisters-in-law Danny and Lisa Rice, Jack and Lora Rice–all of Red Boiling Springs, David and Stephanie Rice of Tompkinsville; devoted caregiver aunt Judy Key of Red Boiling Springs; and 11 grandchildren.
Services were conducted from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home, with Tim White officiating. Burial followed in the Whitley Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were Thomas Rice, David Kernell and little David Kernell. Active pallbearers were Jack Rice, Richie Tuttle, Allen Carter, D.J. Wallace, Jonathon Key, Larry Greer, Barry Leonard, and Wayne York.
Anderson & Son Funeral Home of Red Boiling Springs was in charge of arrangements.
