Cenia Ree Chitwood, 86
CELINA-Funeral services for Cenia Ree Chitwood of Moss were held here Tuesday, November 17, 2009.
Mrs. Chitwood passed away Sunday, November 15, 2009 at The Palace in Red Boiling Springs.
She was born September 26, 1923 in Monroe County (KY) to the late Walter and Roxie (Head) White. She was a Head Start worker and was a member with the Oak Grove Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Neville Chitwood; daughter Linda Faye (Chitwood) Seals; sisters Dera Sampson, and Bera White; and brothers Clyde, Guy and Arley Ray White.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Richard and Donna Chitwood of Tompkinsville (KY) and Jackie Chitwood of Celina; sister Vera Lee Douglas of Clinton (TN); four grandchildren–Kim Seals, Sabrina Wade, Robin Mayberry, and Rachael Chitwood; and six great-grandchildren–Tanner, Payton, Gatlen, Mason and Emily Wade and Eli Mayberry.
Services were held in the chapel of Upton Funeral Home, with Gary Wilder officiating. Burial was in the Moss Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were James Dale White, Jr., W.C. White, Bill White, Dicky Sampson, Steven Chitwood and Larry Head.
Upton Funeral Home of Celina was in charge of arrangements.
Joe Hugh Smith, 56
CELINA-Memorial services for Joe Hugh Smith of Crossville were held Saturday, November 21, 2009.
Mr. Smith passed away Friday, November 13, 2009 at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville.
He was born February 12, 1953 to the late James Eldridge and Myra Jane (Hix) Smith. He was a truck driver and was affiliated with the Methodist Church.
Survivors include brothers James R. Smith of Greenville (KY), Johnny D. Smith of Bowling Green (KY), and Jeff Smith of Somerset (KY); and sister Melanie J. Bright of Kingwood (TX).
Memorial services were held at the Celina United Methodist Church in Celina.
Upton Funeral Home of Celina was in charge of arrangements.
