Leah Finch, 77
CELINA-Funeral services for Leah Finch of Celina were held here Sunday, November 29, 2009.
Mrs. Finch passed away Friday, November 27, 2009 at the Cumberland River Hospital here.
She was born in the Pea Ridge community on March 10, 1932, the daughter of the late Stanton G. and Arie (Watson) Stephens. She was a factory worker and a member of the Ashlock Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Rachel Harris, Anglemae Craft, Anna Lue Cassidy, and Evelyn Brown; and brothers Phillip and Wayne Stephens.
She is survived by sons Gayland (Fredia) Finch of Allons, and Lucian (Jeanette) Finch of Allons; three sisters–Margery Finch of Crossville, Joyce Cassity of Nashville, and Juanita Dyer of Holiday (TN); three brothers–John Stephens of Rickman, Dave Stephens of Scottsville (KY), and Noah Stephens of Cheatam County (TN); six grandchildren–Janet Thompson and Nathan Finch, Alicia Dale, Kayla Vaughn, Latasha Finch, and Lily Finch; four great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home, with burial following in the Williams Cemetery.

Annie Hazel Thompson, 88
CELINA-Funeral services for Annie Hazel Thompson of Pea Ridge were held here Saturday, November 28, 2009.
Mrs. Thompson passed away Thursday, November 28, 2009 at her residence.
She was born June 17, 1921 in Celina to the late William Richardson and Myrtie Ellen (Watson) Poindexter. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Ashlock Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by husband William David Thompson; daughter Patricia Anderson; four sisters–Nova Arms, Janie Thompson, Wilma Dean Ashlock, and Nellie Scott; and brothers Willie and Ervin Poindexter.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law William and Sue Thompson of Celina, Joe Thompson of Celina, Tommy and Lisa Thompson of Celina, Michael and Teresa Thompson of Celina, David and Angie Thompson of Moss and Doyle and Charlotte Thompson of Moss; daughters and sons-in-law Carolyn and David Browning of Moss, Marsha and Larry Adams of Celina, and Edris and Danny Stone of Celina; brothers Archie Poindexter of Albany (KY) and Cecil Poindexter of Celina; son-in-law Cecil Anderson of Celina; lifelong friend Lucy Jenkins; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews
Funeral services were held in the chapel of Upton Funeral Home with Sam Dick officiating. Burial was in the Donaldson Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Jason Thompson, William Thompson, Joe Thompson, Michael Thompson, David Thompson and Doyle Thompson. Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

James (Jim) Lee Smith, 87
CELINA- Funeral services for James Lee Smith of Celina were held here Tuesday, December 1, 2009.
Mr. Smih passed away Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Cumberland River Hospital.
He was born March 7, 1922 in Celina to the late Joe Alexander and Thena Adeline Smith. He was a truck driver for City of Celina and a member of the Celina Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by son Billy Ray Smith and grandson Danny Ray Smith.
He is survived by wife Mable Christine Smith of Celina; sons and daughter-in-laws James M. Smith of Cookeville; Wayne and Reba Smith of Moss, Eddie and Darlene Smith of Lebanon, Phillip and Diana Smith of Celina, Thomas Smith of Celina and Bobby Smith of Celina; brothers Gene Smith of Celina and Fred Smith of Beech Grove (IN); three sister–Marie Groce, Betty Sue Scott and Eva Nell Allen, all of Celina; and 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in the chapel of Upton Funeral Home with Bill Threet officiating. Burial followed in the Fitgerald Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Jacob Cunningham, Tony Smith, Josh Smith, Jason Smith, Steven Smith, Phillip Smith and William Smith.
