David Neely, 93
RED BOILING SPRINGS-Funeral services for David Neely of Red Boiling Springs were held here Sunday, January 11, 2009.
Mr. Neely passed away Friday, January 9, 2009 at The Palace in Red Boiling Springs.
He was born May 15, 1915 in Clay County as the tenth of twelve siblings to the late Burdine and Nancy Isabell Hutcheson Neely. He attended Trevecca Nazerene School in Nashville. He was a carpenter and was a member of the Called Out Ministries. He was a World War II veteran serving in the navy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings.
He is survived by sister-in-law Estelene Neely of Kingsport (TN) and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted from the chapel of Phillip Anderson and Son Funeral Home with E.C. Meadows officiating. Burial was in the Whitley Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Steve Massengille, Kelvin Massengille, Brian Massengille, Brandon Massengille, Brad Murphy, and Ricky Green.

Robert Thomas Ashlock, 75
CELINA-Funeral services for Robert Thomas Ashlock of Pea Ridge were held here Wednesday, January 7, 2009.
Mr. Ashlock passed away Sunday, January 4, 2009 at his residence.
He was born April 7, 1933 in Pea Ridge to the late Marvin Ellis and Lucy Edith Colson Ashlock. He was a retired welder at the Corps of Engineers and was affiliated with the Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Geneva Johnson.
He is survived by wife Artie McLerran Ashlock of Celina; daughters Shelia and James Coffelt of Tompkinsville and Shirley Ashlock and Adam Wilburn of Celina; grandchildren Corey and Lisa Wheeler Coffelt, Kyle Coffelt, Matt Kirk, and Amelia Kirk; step-grandchildren Allan Wayne Kirk and Donnavan and Raven Norris; step-great-grandchild Dee Onna Norris; brother Durrell Ashlock of Celina; and sisters Vonda Elise Thompson of Richmond (VA), Wynell Thimsen of Urbana (VA), and Joyce Lacy of Richmond.
Funeral services were conducted from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home with Kenny Westmoreland officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Michael Miller, Matthew Kirk, Mikey Coffelt, Mark Kirk, Rodney Raines, and Dennis McClain. Sylvia Elise Boles, 76
CELINA-Funeral services for Sylvia Elise Boles of Baptist Ridge were held here Tuesday, January 13, 2009.
Mrs. Boles passed away Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the Clay County Manor.
She was born February 11, 1932 in Gainesboro to the late John and Nora (Crabtree) Cox. She was a retired machine operator at Oshkosh.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Clifford Lee Boles and son Doyle Cox.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law David and Brenda Boles of Baptist Ridge; daughter Betty Short of Hilham; brother James Earl Cox of Gainesboro; sister Polly Beechboard of Celina; three grandchildren–Teresa Shirley, Anthony Boles, and Cody Boles; three great-grandchldren–Tyler Shirley, MaKayla Shirley, and Briley Boles; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home with Bill Ramsey officiating. Burial was in the Turkeytown Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Bobby Lee, Bobby Glen Mullins, Bobby Joe Pennington, Danny Lee, Bobby Clay Lee, Mousie Dailey, Anthony Boles, and David Boles.

Estelene Killman, 77
CELINA-Funeral services for Estelene Killman of Celina were held here Saturday, January 10, 2009.
Ms. Killman passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at the Cumberland River Hospital.
She was born March 10, 1931 in Clay County to the late Clure and Mary Ada (Williams) Boles. She was a house wife.
She is survived by daughter Shirley Biggers of Rickman; son David Brock of Celina; brothers Eugene Boles of Celina and Eldon “Doe” Boles of Anderson (IN); granddaughter Michelle Smith of Cookeville; great-granddaughter Teia Smith of Cookeville; great-grandson Frankie Al Plumlee of Hermitage Springs.
Funeral services were conducted from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home with Edward Todd officiating. Burial was in the Turkeytown Cemetery.
