Elbert Lee Likens, Sr., 80

CELINA-Funeral services for Elbert Lee Likens of Moss were held here Saturday, February 28, 2009.

Mr. Likens passed away Thursday, February 26, 2009 at his residence.

He was born April 2, 1928 in Glasgow to the late Issach Newton and Maggie (Taylor) Likens. He was a factory worker at Western Electric and was a member of Keystone and Moss Church of Christ.

He is survived by wife Lura Likens of Moss; five sons–Elbert Likens, Jr., Francis Likens both of Indianapolis, Barry Plumlee of Red Boiling Springs, Bruce Plumlee of Moss, and Ricky Pierce of Celina; sisters Elvelyn Deckerd and Sue York of Glasgow; brother Ottis Likens of Glasgow; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services were conducted from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home with Dennis Miller officiating. Burial was in the Moss Cemetery.

Hall Funeral Home of Celina was in charge of arrangements.

R.C. Williams, 82

CELINA-Funeral services for R.C. Williams of Pea Ridge were held here Sunday, March 1, 2009.

Mr. Williams passed away Friday, February 27, 2009 at his residence.

He was born February 22, 1927 in Pea Ridge to the late Fred C. and Clara Bell (Arms) Williams. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Rogers Group and was a member of Cave Springs Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Beulah Emerton.

He is survived by wife Christine (Massingille) Williams of Pea Ridge; son Michael Lee Williams of Pea Ridge; brothers Paul James Williams of Celina and Robert L. Williams of Camby (IN); sisters Claudine Langford of Hilham and Betty Ellen Butler of Clayton (TN); granddaughter Dana Williams Gore; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home with Harold Reeder and Ken Miller officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Roger Langford, David Spivey, Steve Massingille, Chase Enerton, Brady Edwards, and Bret Edwards.

Upton Funeral Home of Celina was in charge of arrangements.
