Free basketball officiating clinics begin August 7
UPPER CUMBERLAND-For those who have thought they could do a better job officiating a basketball game or someone looking for a side hustle that pays them to stay in shape, their opportunity is now with the upcoming basketball season quickly approaching.
CrowHop Officiating, in accordance with the TSSAA and North Central Basketball Officials Association, will be hosting free basketball officiating clinics throughout the region here and around the Murfreesboro area.
The purpose of the free clinics is to introduce prospective basketball officials to basics, such as how to register and the process of getting started.
Uniforms, as well as a brief synopsis of signals and mechanics, will also be covered.
Interested attendees need only attend one clinic, which all start at 6 p.m. CST and will only last around one hour.
Area clinics will include:
• Wednesday, August 7 at Stone Memorial High School;
• Wednesday, August 14 at Gordonsville High School;
• Wednesday, August 21 Watertown High School;
• Wednesday, August 28 at Livingston Academy;
• Wednesday, September 4 at Warren County High Schoo;
• Wednesday, September 11 at Providence Christian Academy; and
• Monday, September 16 at Cane Creek Recreation Center.
