LEBANON-The Lady Bulldogs lost their third game in a row here at Friendship Christian Friday night by the score of 59-47.
Despite a big night from Sydney Roach, who had 19 points, the Lady Commanders dominated late in the game to come away with the 12-point win.
The Lady Bulldogs kept it close through the first quarter, but they were outscored 12 to six in the second giving Friendship the eight-point lead.
Clay County made a run to open the second half cutting the Lady Commander lead to three at the end of the third quarter, but Friendship outscored them 20-11 in the final period to seal the victory.
Casey Cooper had 11 points joining Roach as the only other double-digit scorer as the Lady Bulldogs fell to 4-4 on the season.
Clay County will travel to Gordonsville Thursday night in a rescheduled game from Tuesday due to snow and then return home the following night to face Macon County on Friday.
After that, they will travel to London, KY to compete in the South Laurel Christmas Tournament December 27-30.

LEBANON-Senior guard Dylan Birdwell came out of nowhere last Friday night to put up a whopping 27 points and help lead the Bulldogs to a 10-point victory here over Friendship Christian by a score of 57-47.
Birdwell made eight three-point baskets to account for most of his point-total as he picked up the slack for fellow senior Trent Boles who was bothered with an illness that caused him to have his first game not scoring in double digits with nine points.
Jordan Strong also helped ease the burden as he also found the basket from long range totaling 13 points on the night including a trio of three-pointers.
Clay County took control of the game early and led by 18 points at halftime. Friendship did make somewhat of a comeback in the second half, but the Dawgs held on for the 10-point win to improve to 6-1 on the season.
DAWGS (57)-Birdwell 27, Strong 13, Boles 9, Jake Edwards 6, Dusty Birdwell 2.
