Plaques unveiled at CCHS football field, fieldhouse
UNVEILING-Plaques honoring former Celina High School coaches John Teeples (right) and the late Russell Richardson were unveiled before the season-opening football game last Friday. The Clay County school board voted last year to name the Clay County High field in honor of Teeples and the football fieldhouse in honor of Richardson, and plaques acknowledging the former coaches were put up last week. In the top photo below, coach Teeples is congratulated by schools director Donnie Cherry, school board chairman Dickie Roberts and CCHS principal John Denton, while below that, Richardson’s widow, Joyce Strong, is congratulated by the group. The bottom two photos show the plaques. (Staff photos by Kevin Donaldson)
