Reba Bacon Art Competition winners recognized

ART COMPETITION WINNERS-Two Clay County High School students and another area student with Clay County ties were recent winners in the Reba Bacon Memorial Art Competition, where high school students from all across the Upper Cumberland submitted artwork in up to 11 different categories. Student art was also displayed for several weeks at the Cookeville Art Studio and Gallery. The two winners from CCHS were (above, left to right) freshman Rylea Prince, who won 3rd place in the Charcoal category, and sophomore Nizhoni Kaslikowski, who won 1st place in the Colored Pencil category and 3rd place in the Pen and Ink category. Also winning 1st place in the Self-Portrait category and in the Oil Category was (above, right) Upperman freshman Emma Strong, who is the daughter of Celina native Dale Strong and the granddaughter of Celina residents Jerry and Linda Strong. Other CCHS students who competed were (pictured below) sophomores Hannah Tinsley and Peyton Vandevender, and freshman Eden Roberts.
