River Jamboree/Boat Show organizers expect sizeable crowd for upcoming event
CELINA-The Cumberland River Jamboree and the First Annual Dale Hollow/Cumberland River All Boat Show will be held simultaneously here below the bridge at the Clay County Recreation Complex Saturday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. during Easter weekend, and organizers are excited about the upcoming event.
“We’ve had a lot of interest shown in this,” the organizer said, “and we are expecting a good turnout.”
The Jamboree will include live music, open mic, shade tree pickin’, fun, food, cornhole games, arts and crafts booth space, and much more.
There will also be demonstrations held, including fly fishing by Paul Boyce, CNC plasma cutting by Jason Coons, water safety by Bob Bartlett, fish and game by Bill Moulton, and float and fly fishing by The Smallmouth Guru Stephen Headrick.
The boat show will offer participants the chance to bring their new or used boats and water sports gear to show, buy, sell or trade. There will also be a photo display for yachts and houseboats, fun and games, and vendor booth-space available.
The Jamboree is supporting the Clay County School System and the Boat Show is a 3-Star Downtown Revitalization Project.
