Robert Maywald, 84

CELINA – Robert James Maywald age 84 passed away Sunday, December 5, 2010 at the his residence in Celina.

Robert James Maywald was born August 27, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to the late George H. and Mable Rae (Pitman) Maywald.

Robert was the former owner & operator of Dale Hollow Boat Dock. He was affiliated with the Celina Church of Christ. Robert was a United States Navy WWII Veteran. Mr. Maywald was instrumental in organizing the Clay County Rescue Squad, and was Captain for many years.

His family includes daughters, Linda Thompson & husband, Danny of Westmoreland, Tennessee and Susan Stone of Louisville, Kentucky; Grandchildren, Angella Patterson, Kris Shaw, Dana Thompson, James Robert Stone and Curtis Stone & 9 Great Grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wife, Barbara (Binion) Maywald.
