RUNNING IN THE REGIONALS
The Clay County High School Cross Country team will run in the Regional Meet Thursday in Nashville at Percy Warner Park’s Iriquois Steeplechase course with a chance to advance to the 2019 TSSAA Cross Country State Championships on the line. The team heads into this week’s race fresh off a good finish at the York Institute Invitational last week where three Bulldog runners finished in the Top 10, including Cherokee Upton (4th), Jed McLerran (6th), and Zoe Seber—who placed fifth and also advanced to the State Meet last season. The team is made up of (left to right) Upton, Seber, coach Kristy McClanahan, McLerran, Mikey Sparks, manager Michelle Hernandez, and Daniel Westmoreland. (photo courtesy cchsmedia.zenfolio.com)
