CELINA-The Clay County School board approved the general purpose and nutrition budgets for the current fiscal year in a special called meeting July 23.

The vote to approve the budgets was unanimous.The accompanying tax rate for the school budget is $1.12, the same as the past two years.

The board also approved three school nutrition program policies on second reading, and revisited the Sunday athletics policy. After some discussion, a motion was made to table the matter and any action pending further review.
