Shoreline clean-up is Saturday
CELINA-In celebration of National Public Lands Day, the Friends of Dale Hollow Lake, scout groups, and stewards of the public come together annually to keep Dale Hollow Lake clean and beautiful.
This year’s Shoreline Clean-up event will be held here at the lake Saturday and volunteers are needed to help with the cause.
Those planning to participate should prepare to stay hydrated, and keep water, first aid, gloves, etc. on hand for their safety.
Volunteers interested in assisting with the Shoreline Clean-up efforts here on Dale Hollow Lake are asked to reach out to volunteer coordinator Desmaray Brown by phone at 931-243-3136, or by email at [email protected].
Those who take part in the Shoreline Clean-up and contact Brown with the number in their group, number of service hours completed, and photos of their clean-up party will be put on a list to receive a fee-free coupon to use for a day at one of the Corps of Engineers fee areas, such as Pleasant Grove, Obey River, and Lillydale Day-use Recreation Areas.
