CELINA-The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Dale Hollow Lake is giving public notice that the suspension bridge at Pleasant Grove Recreation Area in Clay County, Tennessee will be closed until further notice.  

A recent inspection by local U.S. Army Corps of Engineers personnel revealed potential safety risks and it has been deemed unsafe for public access. The bridge will be barricaded and restricted to all public access. 

This suspension bridge, known locally as the “swinging bridge,” is an extremely popular facility and is a highly visited feature in the local area.  Efforts will be made to repair and reopen the structure as soon as possible.  If anyone needs further information, please contact the Dale Hollow Lake Resource Office at 931-243-3136.
