Students offering tech support at CCHS

The Bulldog Help Desk launched at local high school
CELINA-A group of tech-savvy students here at Clay County High School are stepping up to help their peers and teachers navigate the digital world.
The school has officially launched a student-led tech support help desk know as The Bulldog Desk, a first-of-its-kind program in the county that empowers students to provide hands-on technical assistance across campus.
The initiative, led by a team of high school volunteers and guided by HACK Club adviser Robbie Strong, aims to make technology more accessible, while offering students real-world experience in IT support and customer service.
“It’s not just about fixing Chromebooks,” said junior Witt Kaslikowski, one of the student-team leads. “We’re here to help our classmates learn how to use the tools they need to succeed in the classroom.”
The Bulldog Desk, located in the school library, is open before school, during select lunch periods, and after classes.
Students and staff can stop by for support with school-issued devices, software issues, login problems, or general tech troubleshooting. The team also accepts help requests through an online form.
The program not only helps resolve tech issues more efficiently but also serves as a training ground for students interested in pursuing careers in technology.
Participants earn service hours, develop communication skills, and even get to lead workshops on topics like digital safety and productivity tools.
Senior team member Camden Baxter says he joined to turn his love for computers into something meaningful.
“I used to just mess around with tech at home,” Baxter said. “Now I’m using what I know to actually help people.
“It feels good.”
As technology continues to play a larger role in education, initiatives like The Bulldog Desk show how schools can creatively support students—by letting them support each other.
The school’s help desk is currently open to all Clay County High School students and staff. To request help or learn more, visit the school’s website or stop by the library during posted hours.
