TEEPLES STEPS DOWN-The American Legion Post 18 in Celina recently accepted the resignation of long-serving Post Commander John Teeples (left) and elected Jed Donaldson (right) as new commander during their  meeting on April 14, 2011.  Teeples’ service to the organization will forever be remembered as he hands over the reins to Donaldson and the Post thanked him for his contributions.  Other officers elected were Harry Lancaster 1st Vice Commander, max Endicott 2nd Vice Commander, Richard Accurso Adjutant and Finance Officer, Ronald Bailey Service Officer, Howard Hilton Seargent at Arms, and Bobby Lee Bartlet Chaplain. The Legion meets the 2nd Thursday of each month in the Women’s building at the fairgrounds. All veterans are invited to attend. (photo submitted)
