Highway Patrol Checkpoints
CLAY COUNTY-The Tennessee Highway Patrol last week released sites and dates for drivers license and sobriety checkpoints here and in neighboring Jackson County over the coming months.
There will be a total of seven checkpoint dates in Clay County, a THP news release said, with the checkpoints underway and running through March.
Clay County
• Thursday, January 1–Driver’s license checkpoint set for SR 52 at Neely’s Creek Road Road from 12-1 p.m.,
• Friday, January 23–Driver’s license checkpoints set for SR 52 at Old Walker Hill Road from 5-6 p.m., and SR 52 at Little Trace Creek Road from 8-9 p.m.,
• Friday, March 20–Driver’s license checkpoints set for SR 52 at Old Walker Hill Road from 6-7 p.m., and SR 53 at Neely’s Creek Road from 9-10 p.m.,
• Friday, February 6–Sobriety checkpoints at SR 53 at Langford Lane from 10-11 a.m., and SR 52 at east end of Cumberland River Bridge.
Jackson County
• Thursday, January 1–Driver’s license checkpoint set for SR 53 at north end of Cumberland River Bridge from 9-10 a.m.,
• Friday, February 27–Driver’s license checkpoints set for SR 262 at the fairgrounds from 9-10 a.m., and SR 56 at the north end of the Cumberland River Bridge from 12-1 p.m.,
• Friday, January 2–Sobriety checkpoint set for SR 135 at Putnam County line from 10-11 a.m., and SR 56 at 3-mile marker from 1-2 p.m., and
• Friday, March 13–Sobriety checkpoints at SR 56 at SR 151 from 6-7 p.m., and SR 56 at 1-mile marker.
