CELINA-The first ‘smallmouth-only’ night tournament will be held here at Dale Hollow Marina Thursday night, May 5 and tournament directors Jeff and Steve Smith are looking forward to another good year.

“We’ve had several awesome years in a row with the number of boats we’ve had,” Steve said Monday.  “It was neat to look up and see all those faces before blast-off.”

Jeff said he “wanted to be sure everybody knew they were kicking off the season next week” and explained “anybody was welcome to come fish.”

The tournaments start at 7 p.m. and participants return to a 11 p.m. weigh-in.  The entry fee is $20 per boat.

The ever-popular big fish of the year competition will also begin on the same date.
