CELINA-The second year of early voting for the Twin Lakes Telephone Cooperative board of directors will be conducted here and at other co-op voting locations later this month. 

Early voting will be on Saturday, September 26, at each local Twin Lakes business office.  The Celina office is located at 139 East Lake Avenue, Suite B. 

Polls will be open from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. on September 26, and there will be no campaigning at the polling places, Twin Lakes officials say. 

Incumbent Luke Collins and challenger Mark Carlisle are vying for the Clay County seat on the ballot this year. 

Cooperative members may vote at a business office of their choice and can vote for one director from each area whose name appears on the ballot.

The annual meeting of the members will be held on the first Saturday of October of each year, in Jackson County, as designated in the notice of the meeting,  according to Article III, Section I of the cooperative bylaws.  This year the annual meeting will be held October 3, at the Jackson County Middle School, 170 Blue Devil Lane in Gainesboro.

The polls will open at 8 a.m. and will close at 2 p.m. on October 3,  when the Twin Lakes annual meeting will start.  People in the voting line at 2 p.m. will be allowed to vote.
