Video not permitted Friday on Horizon’s broadcast
CELINA-Due to TSSAA statutes, the Horizon Sports Network (HSN) will not be permitted to offer live-stream video during their broadcast of Friday night’s State Semifinal contest here between Clay County and Coalfield.
Like Eco-Panels of TN, Bank of Celina, and H&H Auto & Equipment Parts did during the first three rounds, Upton-Hay Funeral Home had already committed to paying the $750 fee required to stream video of the fourth round to the TSSAA.
The Horizon Sports Network was planning to offer video for their loyal followers like they have during the Dawgs’ entire historic playoff run, but regulations will not allow it to happen.
The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) is sending a crew here Friday night to broadcast video of the game via nfhsnetwork.com, which takes precedent over any other media outlet, according to TSSAA rules.
A subscription must be purchased in order to view the video, with an $11.99 per month or a $79.99 per year option available on the NFHS website at this time.
HSN will still be on air beginning at 6 p.m. with audio-only coverage from start to finish of the second-ever Final Four football game to be played here, both on their website and on their Facebook page.
