Volleyball team gets off to a good start in 2009
The Clay County High volleyball team got off to a good start in the 2009 campaign, winning three of four matches in week one.
CCHS beat White County and Smith County by 3-1 scores, and topped Livingston Academy 3-2. The Lady Bulldogs fell to Red Boiling Springs 3-0.
“Solid service games by all our players were a big part of the wins,” said CCHS coach Gary Strong. “Sarah Ogletree has played well at the net and in setting, which has allowed good hitting by Randi Strong, Casey Cooper and Kayla Kimes,” he said.
Teams must win two out of three games or three of five games to win a match. Games are played to 25 points and must be won by at least two points.
