Volunteers needed at Hermitage Springs park
HERMITAGE SPRINGS-Volunteers are needed on May 5 to help clean and paint restrooms at the Hermitage Springs Park as part of Join Hands Day, a national day of service sponsored and organized by Modern Woodmen of America.
The project will take place from 9 a.m. until noon and will also include trash pick up, mowing, and weed trimming.
Teresa Gass, project coordinator for the local initiative says, “We want to make a difference in our community on May 65. By connecting with others we can make an even greater impact”.
Join hands Day is the only national day of service designed to bring youth and adults together to plan and implement volunteer service projects in their communities. As generations work side by side, they learn more about each other, sparking a new level of understanding and respect.
“Modern Woodmen is proud of the thousands of volunteers nationwide who give back on Join Hands Day,” says Steve Van Speybroeck, Modern Woodmen’s fraternal director.
